In Germany, the three Consortiums and the Istituto di Valorizzazione Salumi Italiani have established a collaboration with the JRE - Jeunes Restaurateurs d’Europe, the most important young chefs' association in Europe, which boasts 350 restaurants and 160 hotels all over Europe, 72 of which are in Germany.
In partnership with JRE, dinners will be organised for press, bloggers and opinion leaders in the restaurants of German chefs who are members of the association. The events will be held in some of the cities also involved in the large retail campaign.
The action with JRE in Germany also involves students and, in particular, the pupils of two prestigious cooking schools: the JRE Genuss Akademie and the Dehoga Akademia.
The activities consist of two stages: the first is educational, with scheduled lessons and the distribution of informative material, and the second is creative, with the organisation of a competition for pupils, who will be asked to create and execute new recipes and original pairings of the Italian DOP and IGP cured meats with German products. The prize for the three winners is a study trip to Italy.
