The Consorzio Mortadella Bologna was founded in 2001 with the aim of safeguarding, valorising and promoting Mortadella Bologna IGP. It also acts to oppose imitations and fake products.
The Consorzio Mortadella Bologna IGP currently consists of 27 firms, which produce some 95% of all Mortadella Bologna IGP.
